Vince Branigan picks up OAM at Government House
Benalla’s Vincent Branigan had a day to remember on Wednesday, April 27, when he visited Government House to officially receive his OAM.
His daughter Bridget went along for the day and said it was unbelievably busy.
“There were so many people to get through as it was the first time government house could welcome guests since the start of the pandemic,” Ms Branigan said.
Mr Branigan was announced as an Australia Day Honours recipient this year.
He was honoured for his service to the community of Benalla — where he has volunteered for many years with groups including the Lawn Tennis Club, the St Vincent de Paul Society, the Benalla Festival organising committee and Tomorrow Today.
Congratulations from everyone at The Ensign.
