Violet Town got off to a good start this week against Longwood, leading at the quarter break 12-9.
Longwood came out of the quarter-time break strongly and put the pressure on Violet Town with some good shooting, though the Towners held their own to keep the slim three-goal margin at half-time.
In the third quarter Violet Town took back control of the game and steadied with some good movement and shooting to stretch the lead out to 12 before the final term.
And while Violet Town continued to move the ball well in the final 15 minutes of the match, the Towners tired, but comfortably held on for the win.

B-grade
The Towners had another great game as they continued to keep the intensity up throughout the whole match.
Abby Frampton and Marnie Pallpratt played a fantastic game in goals with the help of Kellie McGill feeding beautifully.
Leah Wynd and Yanneke Kruger were an absolute powerhouse in defence picking up every ball and rebound, while Thalia Ellis also played well in wing defence and kept her opponent on her toes.

C-grade
Eager to take home the four points against rival Longwood, C-grade took to the court determined to dominate.
It was a close contest across the four quarters, with both sides going goal-for-goal at times.
Violet Town shooter Nicole Butterworth provided great accuracy, with Mikaela Dunn feeding in strong.
The Towners’ defence played a tight game, with Tegan North shutting down Longwood’s wing attack.
Violet Town stepped it up in the last quarter, putting the pressure on to walk away with a well-earned six-goal win.

Under-15s
Violet Town won its second game of the season and in killer style, too.
The Towners came out hungry for the win and comfortably disposed of Longwood by 36 goals.
The young side continues to impress with each match, jelling as a team on court, while its skills and game play improve week to week.
And a big thank you to the Violet Town players who helped out Longwood that was short on numbers.
