A woman was taken to Wangaratta Hospital following a two-car collision in Nunn St, Benalla, around 12.30pm on Wednesday, March 23.
Leading Senior Constable Mick Desailly said while it appeared no-one was seriously injured, the woman was taken to hospital for observation.
“Two vehicles collided,” Sen Constable Desailly said.
“One was attempting to turn left into Nunn St, coming out of Church St, and collided with another vehicle coming the opposite way.”
A Victoria State Emergency Service spokesperson said its road crash unit attended the incident.
“Initially it was indicated that a person was trapped,” the spokesperson said.
“The rescue was relatively quick and a woman was released into the care of Ambulance Victoria after six minutes.”
Traffic was affected during the incident; however, Sen Constable Desailly confirmed the street had since been cleared and reopened.
