Freddie Mercury from the world-famous band Queen was quoted saying “you can have everything in the world and still be the loneliest man, and it’s the most bitter type of loneliness, success has brought me, world idolisation and millions of dollars, but prevented me from having the one thing we need- a loving ongoing relationship.”
Can you imagine how terrible it is when you got everything and desperately lonely, that is awful it’s beyond words, Freddy said.
Brad Pitt said: ”I Know all these things are supposed to seem important to us, the car the Condo etc. All I know is that at this point in time, we are heading for a dead end, a numbing of the soul, a complete atrophy of the spiritual being, and I don’t want that.”
Lady Gaga also had a very successful career. She said, “I won an Oscar, I sang at the Super Bowl, but I feel empty inside.”
You may be famous or infamous or unknown, everyone is empty inside, sometimes we try to fill that emptiness with other things like alcohol, drugs or relationships or sport or work.
According to the famous above, it doesn’t help.
Then what does you say? We are told by the world this is success — fame and money and material things are the key to peace and happiness.
The answer is God – some say we have a God hole inside us that only God can fill, if you are lonely or empty ask Jesus to come and fill that void.
He will and you will feel complete. The added advantage is you also will be in heaven one day, death is not the end, there is a whole exciting time ahead.
Jesus said before Freddy Mercury did, ‘’What good is it for man to gain the whole world but lose his soul”.
I wish someone had told Freddy that.
