Police are investigating a collision on a major Goulburn Valley road that resulted in a two-year-old child being flown to a Melbourne hospital.
Emergency services were called to reports two cars had collided at the intersection of Goulburn Valley Fwy and Burkes Rd at Wahring about 11.45am on Tuesday, May 5.
A two-year-old girl, who was a passenger in one of the cars, was flown to Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital in a serious condition with upper body injuries.
The 67-year-old woman driving that car was taken to Goulburn Valley Health by road ambulance in a stable condition with upper body injuries.
The driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, a 47-year-old woman, was also taken to Goulburn Valley Health by ambulance in a stable condition with upper body injuries.
An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
