Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit Detective Acting Sergeant Matt Clowes said would-be burglars tried to break into Noble Monks restaurant in Maude St overnight on Friday, August 9, by using a star picket to attempt to force the front door.
On the same night, would-be-burglars also tried to force their way into Ghanda clothing store, also in Maude St, but were also unsuccessful.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, three businesses in St George’s Rd were broken into, but nothing was stolen from any of them.
Act Sgt Clowes said a person jemmied open a door to I Love This Shop Shepparton about 3.20am on Sunday, August 11.
Act Sgt Clowes said once inside, the burglar rummaged through drawers, but nothing was taken.
About an hour later, at 4.20am, the doors of Red Rooster across the road were also forced open.
Entry was gained to the store, but nothing was stolen.
At a similar time, The Bottle-O Warehouse liquor store also had a door prised open.
Again access to the store was gained, but nothing was taken.
Police are investigating the burglaries and attempted burglaries.
