Benalla struggled against a strong Moyhu side, falling 144 to 39 in a one-sided match. Moyhu controlled the game from the first bounce, dominating all four quarters.
Despite the result, there were positives for Benalla. Kieran Linke impressed with his courage and drive in defence and midfield. Sam Cox provided plenty of run and created chances up forward, while Tom Levy brought intensity around the ball and added scoreboard pressure.
Benalla will look to regroup ahead of their upcoming clash with King Valley.

Heading into the match with some fresh faces and growing confidence, Benalla was hopeful. but Moyhu proved too strong, racing to an early lead and running out 181 to 0 winners.
Despite the scoreline, there were honest efforts across the ground. Ayden Amos provided drive through the midfield and helped generate forward entries. Bailey Lepnik worked tirelessly all day, gathering plenty of possessions. Ahren McNab was thrown into multiple roles and gave his all to support the team.
The boys fought hard until the final siren and will look to regroup for next week.

A Grade
Benalla 26 def by Moyhu 48
In just our second home match of the season, the Panthers welcomed Moyhu, aiming to clinch a second victory.
Jessie Ellis delivered an exceptional performance in the goal defence (GD) position, consistently disrupting the opposition's play. Her synergy with Elyse Felstead in the defensive end was evident, as both players secured crucial intercepts and rebounds, maintaining pressure throughout the game.
Meagan Hausner showcased her leadership by anchoring the midcourt. Her steady presence and strategic playmaking provided stability, ensuring the team remained composed under pressure.
Kodi Mustey marked her A Grade debut with a commendable performance. Her seamless integration into the team was evident, and she confidently took on the goal shooter role in the final quarter, demonstrating her versatility and potential.
While the final whistle saw Moyhu securing a 26-48 victory, Panther’s A Grade side displayed commendable teamwork and individual brilliance, setting a strong foundation for the remainder of the season.

Excited to have our second home game of the season, the Panthers lined up against a speedy Moyhu side.
Mary Down helped the Panthers out this week and was a welcome inclusion. Mary’s speed and agility throughout the match helped open up space within the attacking end and she fed beautifully into the shooters.
Holly Robertson was given a vital role this week down back and proved herself more than capable to the task getting her hands to lots of ball coming into the oppositions attacking end.
Lilly Robertson adapted well this week to multiple positions on the court, she was a strong option when looking forward and as always had great defensive pressure over the ball.

B Reserve
Benalla 33 def by Moyhu 34
Undermanned but undeterred, the All Blacks B Reserve side put in a gutsy performance against ladder rivals Moyhu, going down by just one goal in a thrilling 34-33 finish.
The Blacks started strong, trailing by just a goal at quarter-time. Chloe Dods was immense in defence, earning Best on Court for her relentless pressure and ability to disrupt Moyhu’s attack.
Catherine Dennis stood out in the midcourt with her calm decision-making and sharp vision, while Taitum Hemming showed outstanding versatility, switching between ends to support wherever needed.
Down by six heading into the final quarter, the team rallied behind 13-year-old Harper Robertson, whose speed and smart feeds sparked a late comeback. Though Moyhu snatched a final goal from a centre pass to seal the win, the All Blacks walked away proud—proving once again that teamwork and determination define this group.

Under 15’s
Benalla 36 def Moyhu 28
The under-15s side had a solid start to their game this week, with strong defensive pressure creating turnovers across the court, allowing the team to move the ball beautifully down the court into our attacking circle.
Throughout the game, Moyhu proved their strength, making it difficult for our team to convert, but the U15s side showed their determination and ability to work together and finish the game strong.
Lola Crook earned herself the Hollywood’s Pizza award for her performance in attack where she shot beautifully, moved well with her team mates and fed the ball into the circle patiently.
Libby Renkin earned herself the Benalla Coffee Merchant award for her hard work in defence, taking Thursday’s training and implementing it into her game, she read the ball beautifully and limited the oppositions attack from converting goals.
Imogen English was awarded the Chill out Smoothie Bar award for her standout performance in defence, creating turnovers and moving the ball down the court to our mid-court players. Imogen once again showed her versatility moving into Goal Shooter.
After a hard fought game, the Under 15s side managed to keep their lead and secure a win leaving the score Benalla All Blacks 36 to Moyhu 28.
