Midweek and Weekend Pennant

Weekend Pennant has completed Round Fourteen and Midweek have completed Round Thirteen with one round to go.
Seven Divisions entered this Pennant Season with five making finals weekend and week, an exceptional result for 2025-26.
Midweek Pennant Round Thirteen
Division A1 defeated Wangaratta at home 67/55 and remain on top of the ladder with one game to be played.
Division A3 played St James at St James on difficult home greens and lost 62/39.
Division A3 remain second on the ladder.
Division B2 lost to Howlong at Howlong 42/67 and will miss finals this season.
Weekend Pennant
The "Home and Away" season has now finished.
Division A1 played a twilight match on Friday against Yarrawonga at Home.
The lights were on the Leo Farrell green, the BBQ tools were out, the Wrong Bias Bar was open, and a great crowd watched the game.
Corowa RSL Division A1 defeated Yarrawonga 122/56.
Division A1 finished second on the ladder and will play Wodonga in the semi-final on Saturday, with the venue yet to be decided.
Division A4 defeated Yarrawonga at Yarrawonga 94/61 and finished on top of the ladder and will play North Albury in the semi-final.
Division B2 played St James at home and won 62/49.
Division B2 finished on top of the ladder, were undefeated all season and will play Corowa Civic in the semi-final.
Division B3 lost to Kiewa at Kiewa and finished sixth.
Ovens and Murray Over 60's Pairs Championships
Corowa RSL hosted this event this year, with 56 players enjoying good greens and warm weather.
The players all played three games in sectional play.
Section Three was won by Wayne Lee and Andy Dickins, and they play semi-finals at Corowa RSL on Thursday, commencing at 9.30am.
Jenny Lawrence and Rhonda Clark played in the Ladies Pairs at Rutherglen and came up against very strong opponents.
The Ovens and Murray District Ladies will also be played at Corowa RSL Bowls on Thursday.
The new date for the Eddie Burton Open Triples has been scheduled for Sunday, March 29.
The new entry sheet is available on the Bowls Veranda.

It's great to see new bowlers and new members taking this opportunity to learn the game of bowls.
Thursday Pennant Practice from 4pm, with five Divisions in finals take these opportunities to practice.
It's not every season you get to play in a pennant final.

We were finally able to play pennant games last Tuesday and Saturday after the very hot weather we have been experiencing.
Midweek Pennant – Round 13
On Tuesday we had very mixed results for Civic, with A1 losing to Myrtleford by 27 shots, B1 had a win against Yarrawonga winning by 14 shots and B2 had a loss at home against YMGCR by 15 shots.

On Tuesday A1 play Yarrawonga away, B1 will be home to Myrtleford ad B2 will play their game at Tungamah.
After Round 13 A1 sit in 8th position, B1 are in 4th position, and B2 are in 7th position.
Weekend Pennant – Round 14
This was the last round of home and away for the season, the only team to win was B2 coming away with a 24-shot win against Howlong/Rutherglen, A2 lost by 7 shots to Commercial, and B3 lost by 21 to Lavington.

After the final round of the season A2 finished in 5th position, B2 are in 2nd place and B3 are in 8th place. At this stage it hasn’t been decided where any of the finals will be played.

The Business House 4’s got off to a great start on Wednesday evening with 22 teams taking part.

A reminder that the 80 Club Draw will be on Sunday 15th February commencing at 10.30 for those who wish to have a game of bowls followed by a light lunch, then the draw.
