The Benalla Breakers under-14 Boys claimed the Division 3 Junior Country Championship title in Ballarat recently.
The Benalla Breakers under-14 Boys and Girls teams delivered outstanding performances at the Junior Country Championships held in Ballarat from April 11 to 13, showcasing resilience, teamwork, and determination across the tournament.

The girls battled through a tough opening day before responding strongly on day two to secure a win and earn a place in a qualifying final. They faced Myrtleford in the qualifying final on day three, going down by 30 points.
Despite the result, the team can be incredibly proud of their efforts. With only seven players, some with fewer than 50 games of experience, their performance was a testament to their growth and commitment.

Benalla Breakers under-14 Girls battled valiantly at the Junior Country Championships, earning a spot in the qualifying final, however ultimately fell to a strong Myrtleford side.
The boys produced a remarkable turnaround after a winless day one, bouncing back to win all three games on day two. They carried that momentum into day three, starting with a nine-point win over Yarrawonga in the qualifying final, followed by an 11-point victory against Horsham in the semi-final.
Advancing to the grand final against Kyneton, the boys delivered their best performance of the tournament, securing an emphatic 18-point win to claim the Division 3 Championship.
Under Head Coach Amber McIntyre, the achievement was even more significant, with six of the players also part of the 2024 squad that won the Division 5 title at the Junior Country Championships held in Bendigo.
