More than 100 golfers from across the Goulburn Valley and north-east flocked to Benalla Golf Club last Thursday, May 5, for the Maie O’Shea Bowl.

The bowl is a significant event on the ladies golfing calender, and one of the more prestigious women’s golfing tournaments in the region.

Twenty-five teams took part in the event, with team Thurgoona coming away with first place with 134 points on a countback from Wodonga team two.

Ensign editor Simon Ruppert was on hand on the day to present the coveted trophy, with Ensign photographer Brenden Paddock also there to capture plenty of smiling faces.
