President Lee Manning said the presentation night was always a highlight of the club’s season.
“We love our presentation days, when we invite parents and siblings onto the field to show them all of the newly learnt hockey skills,” she said.
“Everyone enjoyed playing games of Rob the Nest, Number Hockey and Zone Hockey, with many goals scored.”
The players thanked coaches Erin, Jacinta, Callum, Lily, Hadassah, Charlie, Sophie, Sarah, Kate, Brendan and Lee for all their encouragement during the six-week program.
All players now progress to Stick 2 Hockey in Term 2, with kids under 10 playing from 4pm to 5pm, kids 12 to 14 from 5pm to 6pm, and everyone over 14 with the adults from 6pm to 7pm on Thursdays.
New players are sought for all age groups for the winter competition — training starts again after Easter on Thursday, April 21.
Head down to Churchill Reserve to try your hand at hockey.
Equipment is available to borrow, and the first two weeks are free.
