The Benalla Hockey Club hosted their final Hook In2 Hockey session on Thursday, April 3, with over 50 kids attending the program over four weeks.
The kids had great fun showing off their new hockey skills, with games of Cut the Cake, Hoctopus and Zone Hockey.
“We had so much fun tonight!” said Madeleine Wright.
All players were presented with individual certificates, and each age group thanked their coaches: Erin, Sophie, Jacinta, Finn, Annie, Amber, Rachel, Serenity, William, Charlie, Talon, Steele and Hayden.
Hockey ramps up in Term 2, with the Goulburn Valley Hockey Association winter competition starting on Saturday April 26, with Benalla entering Under 12, Under 15, Under 17 and B Women’s teams.
Kids aged 5 to 12 will continue on with Stick 2 Hockey each Thursday at Churchill Reserve from 4.15-5.15pm, followed by Junior training from 5.30-6.30pm and Senior Women from 6-7pm.
New players are always welcome, with two free ‘Come and Try’ sessions and all equipment available to borrow.
