Under-8s

Benalla’s Harry Gaudion, Teddy Start and Jonathan Wright teamed up with three SCC players to make a great team for the 4-a-side, one-eighth field under-8 round-robin competition.
The new ‘Tigers’ team settled in quickly, but Euroa took the first win, despite Harry’s speed across the field being a great asset in chasing down some fast breaks.

Teddy showcased his dribbling skills against Mooroopna, sneaking in a neat goal around two players.
The fourth game against SYC saw Jonathan determined in defence, stopping at least 4 goals right on the line, with Teddy also contributing a goal to the 3-0 win.
Under-10s

Benalla’s Sophie Gaudion and Sienna Lee enthusiastically joined with Euroa’s Bella, Cora and Mila for an all-girls ‘Hume Highway’ team for 5-a-side, quarter-field games.
Sophie proved a confident centre-forward, making strong passes and positioning well ahead of the play to receive the ball.
A natural defender, Sienna also created quality attacking play, with big passes through the centre to the wings then following up in support.
Cora ran the length of the field, forcing turnovers with skilful tackles, with Bella finding space for passes, and Mila making magnificent saves near the goals, including a series of four shots in short succession which she repelled powerfully.
The team’s confidence and skill level grew exponentially after playing five Shepparton teams, with some fast breaks from the centre coming close to scoring in the final game against Mooroopna.
