Eight athletes represented Benalla across various age groups and excelled, all securing top-10 finishes.
Eleanor Donnelly, Elsie Cavill and Max Yuen-Francis all claiming individual medals in their respective events.
Donnelly won the U9 Girls 1.5km race to take gold, while Cavill and Yuen-Francis both won bronze in the U10 Girls 2km and U12 Boys 2km races, respectively.
Naomi and Abigail Hein both had strong performances in the U10 Girls 2km race, finishing seventh and eighth respectively, which alongside Cavill, saw the trio take out the silver medal in the teams' event for their age group.
Harriet Donnelly ran a solid race in the U11 Girls 2km event, and was unlucky to miss out on a medal in fourth, while Matilda Donnelly also showed prowess in the U12 Girls 2km race, finishing a strong sixth.
Caleb Hein capped off a brilliant day for the Benalla participants in the U12 Boys 2km race, finishing fifth.
The athletes trained hard for the event, with many often found at Benalla Parkrun on a Saturday morning, and they’re set to continue their training ahead of the State championships in August.
