Benalla Bridge Club Results
Congratulations to George Wagner (and his partners) for the two wins last week, and also for the excellent percentages achieved.
There are bridge clubs in many regional towns and cities around Australia, so that as people travel, they are made very welcome to play at other clubs. A number of our members have recently been away and have variously played at Townsville, Bunbury, Broken Hill, Bairnsdale, Phillip Island and Moree.
It is a great way to make new acquaintances, and it is also remarkable how often someone from the other club knows someone in Benalla.
The Bridge Club is now offering lessons for people interested in learning how to play bridge. If you or any of your friends would like to take part, phone Peter on 0418 587 573 for details.

Last week we played our Preliminary Final game with Pirates (Team 5) 259 defeated Rangers (Team 3) 246. This was an incredibly close score and this is what finals should be all about. We had two three-game winners in the Preliminary Final with Sathya and Tim, so well played both of you and congratulations.
Tonight’s Grand Final game has Pirates (Team 5) v Astros (Team 4) playing, if you are in either of the teams playing and for some reason are unable to play this week, phone Tim on 0417 537 135, he needs to organise the fill ins for the finals, so call him as early as possible so he has enough time to organise fill ins. Try to be at the courts by 7.15 to have a warm up and then games can start promptly at 7.30.
If you are not playing in the finals we would love you to come down to the courts to cheer on those playing and maybe do some umpiring to make it a special night for all.
