Breakers hoop out at All Abilities tournament

Benalla's All Abilities basketball team finished runner-up in the Specialist Hoops tournament.

Specialist Hoops hosted 13 All Ability basketball teams from across Victoria for a tournament at MARC Stadium at Bacchus Marsh on Sunday, April 13.

We took seven players to represent Benalla All Abilities Basketball.

We played Seymour in our first game, winning by 24 points, with a great team effort.

The team then backed up straight away to face Horsham, again winning, this time by 15 points.

After a small lunch break, we then played Specialist Hoops from Melton — losing by five points.

Finishing second on the ladder, we then played against Melton in the grand final.

With some niggling injuries and tired players, the team was competitive again, but was runner-up by three points.

The team was made up of Jade, Joel, Tom, Matt, Andrew, Kevin and Craig.

A great effort all day by these players, we are very proud of you all.
