In a fantastic return to Griffith & District Cricket, Alistair Burge bludgeoned an unbeaten 127 from 101 balls for the Exies Eagles against the Diggers in last Saturday's clash in first grade.
At 3-39, Alistair joined fellow Coleamballian Jack Weymouth-Smith to turn the tide in the Exies Eagles’ favour.
Weymouth-Smith rode his luck, but was eventually bowled for a well compiled 61.
Captain Phil Burge (38) and Marc Tucker (14 not out) assisted to finish Exies on 7-285 from 45 overs.
With the ball, wickets were shared around, with Alistair claiming 2-21 off nine overs with ripping off-breaks.
The Diggers batted well though to finish all out on 153 from 42 overs.
Second grade will begin this weekend, with third grade in recess for the season.
The Milliken Shield will start this Sunday.
