Division one

The finals match-ups have been set in division one of the Campaspe Tennis Association, with Echuca 1 to play Rochester 1 in the first semi-final, while Echuca 2 will play LBU 2 in the second semi-final.

The four finalists had been determined after round 16, and round 17 determined which teams would face off in the semi-finals.

In somewhat of a shock, LBU 1, who was sitting in last position on the ladder heading into the final round, managed to take a 12-game victory over a Rochester 1 side that featured four fill-ins.

The result means Rochester 1 dropped from third to fourth on the ladder, and will face the ladder-leading Echuca 1 side in the semi-finals.

LBU 2 took full advantage of Rochester’s loss, claiming a seven-game victory over reigning premiers Echuca 1 to leap into third position on the ladder.

Echuca 2 continued its steady form, beating out Rich River 85-65, ensuring it finished second on the ladder and will play LBU 2 in the semi-finals.

Division two

Despite a loss to top-placed Echuca 4, Rochester 2 managed to cling on to fourth position and secure a finals berth.

The fixture will be replayed in the first semi-final, with Rochester 2 hoping to trouble Echuca 4 more than the 46-74 scoreline from round 17 would suggest.

Elmore 1 claimed 12 sets in its 49-game demolition of Colbinabbin, a handy hit-out before facing Echuca 7 in the second semi-final next week. Echuca 7 is coming off a bye in the final round.

Elsewhere, Echuca 5 beat Echuca 6 by 18 games, but with both teams ruled out of finals last week, the result won’t have any bearing on the finals.

Junior division A

There was no change to the finals make-up as Elmore 2 failed to overcome top side Echuca 8, meaning it stayed a match behind fourth-placed Echuca 11 on the ladder.

Echuca 8 will play Echuca 11 in the first semi-final, while LBU 3 will face off against Echuca 9 in the second semi-final.

Junior division B

LBU 6 managed a 36-8 game victory over Colbinabbin 2, and in the process jumped ahead of Elmore 3 on the ladder, who suffered a 19-33 game loss to Elmore 6.

The result means LBU 6 will have a home court advantage against Elmore 3 in the second semi-final, and the first semi-final will see Elmore 6 take on Elmore 4.

Junior division C

The finalists for division C were decided by the end of round 13, with no change to the match-ups after round 14 action.

Rochester 5 will take on Echuca 18 in the first semi-final, while Rich River 3 will battle it out against LBU 7 for a spot in the grand final.
