The A-grade winner was Peter Oddy with the best score of the day, 39 points, from runner-up Jason Kerr on 38.
The B-grade winner was Jen Choice with 36 points from runner-up Brad Haines 35, and the C-grade winner was Graeme Butcher with 37 points on countback to runner-up Graham Flanagan.
Last Thursday was medley stableford with two grades. The A-grade winner was Ali Ferguson on 37 points from runner-up Prue Lloyd 33, and the B-grade winner was Rae Lawrence, also with 33 points, on countback to runner-up Ann Bull.
In Wednesday’s stableford event, only 19 players recorded a score in challenging conditions. The winner was Ken Wemyss with 34 points, from runner-up Kevin Keane on 32.
Coming up we have a fourball best ball event on tomorrow, then on Sunday it’s mixed fourball best ball and the qualifying round for the Nesbit knockout. Then apart from Wednesday’s stableford, there will be stroke on Tuesday, stroke for the ladies monthly medal on Thursday and stroke again for the men’s medal next Saturday.
In the clubhouse, raffles continue tonight, with tickets on sale from 6pm and draws from 7pm. Happy hour is 6pm to 7pm. Meals are available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights with the new and popular winter menu.
