Veterans from near and far are expected to join local golfers for this event.
It will start with a fourball best ball on Monday, October 12, followed by 18 hole stableford events on the Tuesday and Thursday. The week will culminate with NSW VGA Trophy Day on Friday, October 16.

Talking of veterans, our club has a 9 hole veterans competition held each Friday from 8am. This is a fun competition with its own unique handicap system that gives every player an opportunity to succeed.
Numbers have been down a bit lately, so anyone who would like to get involved is encouraged to see John Penna or be at the club by 8am on a Friday.
Last Thursday we had 9 and 18 holes stableford. The 18 hole winner was Anita Gorsuch with 41 points from runner-up Troy Grant on 39, and the 9 hole winner was Rae Lawrence with 18 points from runner-up Wendy Pekin on 17.
Saturday was the medley foursomes and the men’s foursomes championship, with most players back at the 19th earlier than usual.
Championship winners were Vince Kelly and Leigh Chappell with 74 scratch, and handicap winners were Jarod Sommerfeld and Jarryd Pearce with net 70.5 on countback from Des Ramsey and Peter O’Brien.
In Tuesday's 9 hole competition the winner was Esther Bolton with 17 points from runner-up Denise Seignior on 15.
There was a good field with three grades on Wednesday in cool conditions. A-grade winner was Jackson Campbell with 41 points from runner-up Gary Stephens 40; B-grade Geoff ‘Zorro’ Bessell with 43 points from runner-up Ron Friend on 36, and C-grade winner Des Ramsey with 38 points from runner-up Fred Lowry on 37.
Entries are still being taken for the Country Education Foundation Edward River region fundraiser, to be played on Sunday. This will be 4-person ambrose, 12 noon tee-off for $30 per person which includes a barbecue lunch.

Other events in the next week are as follows: Tomorrow is stableford, Tuesday is 9 hole 2-person ambrose (gold tees), Wednesday is stableford, Thursday is stableford (split 6), and next Saturday is fourball best ball stableford.
The bistro continues to be open from Wednesday to Sunday, lunch and dinner, offering quality meals at a reasonable price.
Friday Night Fun is on again tonight, and follows a bumper Friday at the club last week when the Blind Footy Tipping count was held. Happy hour tonight is from 6pm, and raffle tickets are on sale from 6pm with draws from 7pm.
