Paul Girdler was selected for the senior men.
It is his debut at the tournament, and he’ll be third in a rink with Colin Veenendaal, Mick O’Neil and Ian Ewing.
Paul Girdler is the only local in Victoria’s senior men’s side.
Kevin Anderson and Cameron Keenan will play in the open men’s side.
Anderson has been listed second in a rink with Harry Coleman, Tyson Cromie and Nathan Lynch.
Keenan is third alongside Mitch Sidebottom, Koby Cromie and Craig Mills.
All three men were involved in winning the men’s fours at the Bowls Victoria state championships earlier this year, breaking Moama’s 51-year drought.
Kevin Anderson was selected for Victoria’s open men’s side.
Anderson and Keenan have also had success in singles.
At the same event, the former made the semi-finals of the champion of champions singles.
Both he and Keenan also made it as far as the round of 32 of the Australian Bowls Open in June.
Cameron Keenan and Anderson will be teammates in Victoria’s open men’s side.
Meanwhile, Cassandra Millerick and Emma Simmonds are playing for the open women’s team.
Millerick will skip a rink including Chelsea Pollock, Anita Jenkins and Brooke Edwards, while Simmonds will be third in her quartet.
Former Moama Steamer Olivia Cartwright is Simmonds’ skipper.
Simmonds is a very adept team player.
She won the women’s triples with Millerick at the state championships before finishing second in the Aus Open fours with local Gracie Retallick.
Emma Simmonds will team up with Millerick in the open women’s team.
Millerick has arguably had the most decorated 2026 of the quintet.
She won the state women’s singles and finished runner-up in the same event nationally.
Millerick’s excellent displays led to placing third on the national women’s rankings for the 2025-26 bowls season.
All five bowlers will travel to Osborne Park Bowling Club in WA for their championships.
Girdler’s competition starts on October 10, while Anderson, Keenan, Millerick and Simmonds are all bowling from October 15.
