The Benalla Hockey Club had a fantastic 2022, with junior Hook In2 Hockey, Stick 2 Hockey, and competition under-12 team, combined Mooroopna-Benalla under-14 and under-17 teams and Benalla-SYC B Women’s team.

All players and teams steadily improved throughout the year, with the under-17s and B Women narrowly losing their semi-finals.

Presentation night was held on Saturday, September 17, with life members Don Berry and Rupe Cheetham and sponsor representatives Shaun and Cindy from Ultimate Refrigeration and Cooling, Prue from Nutrien Ag Solutions and Liz from North-East Life presenting awards.

For the first time, two teams had draws for their best and fairest awards, showing the teamwork and effort that every player put in this year.
