The seniors came up against local rivals Benalla All Blacks on what was a great day for football, and it was good to see the boys stand up in the first quarter with All Blacks playing some good football.
The boys were able to get away in the second quarter with some great leadership from the captain, Jamie Dunne, while James Webb played some good running football out of defence, and the boys went in at half time with a handy lead.
It was good to see the boys finish the game off strongly, with both Dylan Beavis and Brayden Stepien looking dangerous up forward, which should give the boys some confidence to finish off with a win next week before their finals campaign.
Best players: James Webb (Peter Davis Rural), Jamie Dunne (Goorambat Railway Hotel), Dylan Beavis (Gladstone’s Fuel Award), Brayden Wapling (Hollywood’s Pizza), Victor Butler (Royal Hotel Award), Vaughan Kirk (Club Dinner).

Goorambat reserves started their game against Benalla All Blacks with the first goal of the day, and the quarter was a great contest as both sides played good open football, with Mitch Dansey involed in everything.
The boys started to drop off in the second although both Jeremy Sloan and Simon Briggs provided some strong play to keep the boys in touch at half time, but with a lot of work to do in the second half.
Hopefully the boys can finish off the year next week with a much deserved win against North Wangaratta at their home ground.

A grade this week had a solid game against All Blacks, coming out firing against our rivals with a dominant first quarter.
The girls were steady in attack and disciplined, led by Ruby Richardson in WA through the second and third quarters. Kylie Relf had another solid performance in goals, even with an injury in the last quarter she managed to stay nice and composed as we adjusted to the change.
Nelle Cousins also had another outstanding performance playing both ends of the court and offering the team plenty of turnovers and opportunities. It was good to see a win with only one week left for the home and away season.
Best: Ruby Richardson - Riverbank Cash Award, Kylie Relf - Goorambat Pub Award, Nelle Cousins - Early Bird Coffee Award

The Bats faced off against local rivals Benalla in what is always a highly anticipated and competitive fixture. Both teams started strongly, demonstrating high intensity and skill early in the match.
However, the Bats maintained their composure and, by returning to their game plan, were able to build momentum and extend their lead as the game progressed.
It was an outstanding team performance, with every player contributing to a convincing win, an encouraging sign as the team heads into finals.
Aneiki Pierce delivered a strong performance, combining seamlessly with Sophie Hammond in the shooting circle. Both showcased excellent attacking execution and defensive pressure. Madison Dunne also impressed with her efforts in wing defence, creating turnovers and providing consistent support across the defensive end.
Best: Aneiki Pierce - G&S Gall, Sophie Hammond - Advanced Ag Thursday night dinner award, Madison Dunne - Early Bird

The Bats started out on the back foot against a swift All Blacks outfit.
Kirby Davis played a great defensive role, playing body on body and getting hands to plenty of passes. Some changes saw Hayley Marciniak in WA, giving great flow and opportunities to our goalers as well as great drives. Jord Heylbut stepped into the WD position and provided some good options in the mid court.
The All Blacks looked slick and moved the ball well, while the fourth quarter saw a lot more pressure on them when Brooke Haddrell stepped into goal ring.
Despite the scoreline it was a hard fought game until the end.
Best: Brooke Haddrell - Muscle Mend, Hayley Marciniak - Royal Hotel Award, Kirby Davis - Terry White Chemmart, Jordyn Heylbut - Early Bird Cafe

The Bats came out strong at the first whistle, and continued throughout the quarter, moving the ball down court with lots of talk, leading by three heading into the second quarter.
With accurate shooting and movement from Charli Button and Yolanda Bourke, the girls were able to score off all turnovers that made it down into the ring, with lovely feeding from Molly Martin.
The girls kept their flow going into the third, with strong consistent defence from Lacey Carter and Katelyn Russell in the ring. Mid court pressure from Indy Stovall and Cienna Berry swapping out in the WD position made it hard for the All Blacks girls to get the ball down to their shooters.
Consistent structure provided by Pippa Martin through the mid court supported the girls in bringing the ball out of defence and into the shooters.
Best: Molly Martin - Hume Solar, Lacey Carter - Spot 4 Ice Cream, Pippa Martin - Early Bird

This week the girls went into their game with some fun, spirited ideas. They all wanted to play in different positions on the court to where they would normally for a little bit of fun. Even though they were out of position, there were still some great passages of play.
Mackenzie Roberts tried her hand at shooting and managed to still move well and work well with her other shooter. Evie Ellis also tried shooting and managed to make the first goal for the team. She also got her running shoes out for a dabble in centre.
Chloe Culhane also came through the mid court and ran and passed well. She also scored in shooting for the team. They all kept their spirits up throughout the game.
Best: Mackenzie Roberts - Hume Solar, Evie Ellis - Spot 4 Ice Cream, Chloe Culhane - Sports Power
