In local play, excellent croquet weather has enticed up to 20 players on each day of play in this reporting period.
On Sunday, there was a lone three game winner with Leo Barry taking the honours.
Nine members were trailing with a two-game achievement.
They were Alan Higgins, Carol David, Peter Whittakers, Trevor David, Faye Druitt, Allan Tonta, Terry Murphy, Rod Fawns and Jim Jennings.
There were six jump shots, with Higgins scoring three and Brian Dudley, Trevor David and Whittakers scoring one each.
Wednesday’s competition was keen, with seven three game winners.
Mary James was the outright winner on a hoop countback.
The other three game winners were Whittakers, Davis, Higgins, John James, Barry and Rich River visitor Jenny Fisher.
The two game achievers were Tony Bull, Tonta and Jennings.
A single jump shot was each scored by Higgins, Bull, John James, Tonta and Barry.
Members are invited to take advantage of fine weather and play late afternoon croquet at the tennis courts on any day, except Wednesdays, when the courts are used for the Deniliquin Lawn Tennis Club’s twilight competition.
