A very successful Maie O’Shea Bowl was held at Benalla Golf Course on Thursday, May 6, on a beautiful day.
The winners of the Maie O’Shea Bowl with a score of 147 was the Mansfield 2 Team comprising Leslie Anderson 36, Meg Broomfield 34, Jenny Koraus 39 and Belinda Thomas 38.

This week the first round of the Women’s Club Championships will be played on Thursday and a stableford round on Saturday.

Today, Wednesday, May 12, is a stableford event, the second round of the Vets championships.
Saturday, May 15, is a Stroke event the third round of the Club championships.
The clubs’ Junior Pennant team is playing in the final on Sunday, May 16, at Myrtleford, starting at 9.30 am.

Last Wednesday, May 5, 66 players competed in a stableford event, the first round of the Vets championships.
The best score of the day, 38 points, was had by both Steve Thomas to win A-grade and Garry Fraser win C-grade. The A-grade runner-up was Brian Hollins with 37 points on a countback, with the C-grade runner-up Boyd Macarty with 36 points. In B-grade the winner was Peter Bridgfoot with 36 points from runner-up Roger Cowan 35 points on a countback.

The best score of the day, 68 nett, was had by Bruce Griffett to win C-grade with Frank James (visitor) runner-up with 70 nett. The A-grade winner was Adrian Squires, 71 nett, while the runner-up was Ian Wise 73 nett on a countback. The B-grade winner was Matt Thomas 71 nett on a countback from runner up Gary Woodman also 71 nett.
