North Eastern Archers shot straight and true at their recent outing at the Moorabbin Shield tournament.

Ethan Start, Russ Irvine and Joshua Mahon donned the NE Archers’ colours, and represented the club in fine style, collecting a haul of trophies and accolades.

Perfect conditions set the scene for a fine day of shooting at Moorabbin Archery Club, and it was Mahon who stole headlines with first place in the Open Male Compound event.

Start went on to clinch third place in the same event, while Irvine also secured bronze in the 50+ Master Male Compound category.

The three then teamed up, combing their talents to take out first prize in the team entry with 3335 total points.

Mahon went on to shoot off for compound, taking home top spot to go two from two at Moorabbin Archery Club.

The three started October with a bang, and marked another superb showing from the trio after a successful day at the State Short Range Championships last month.

Mahon finished in fourth in the Open Male Compound, while Start nabbed sixth and also secured fourth in his debut in the Open Male Barebow Recurve event.
