Peter Curtis, Jordan Moroney, Evie Burns and Vincent Ryan all represented Rochester at its home cross-country carnival, with all four getting on the podium.
Due to Peter racing in the under-6s age group, he is too young for state competitions, but both Jordan and Evie will race in the under-9 1.5km event while Vincent will compete in the under-11 2km race.
The state championships will take place on Saturday, August 9 at Lake Dewar Lodge YMCA in Myrniong.
The competition will see the fastest cross-country runners in the state from under-9s to under-17s battle it out.
RLAC committee member Kylie Moroney highlighted the club’s pride in seeing its athletes reach the next level.
“It’s quite an honour to see those athletes make it to the next level; it’s great that our kids get the opportunity to participate in these things,” she said.
“It’s definitely satisfying to see that their hard work is paying off, and it shows we as a club are doing something right.
“If the kids are keen, we are happy to support them in chasing their goals.”
