After a strong start, Rovers faced a challenging moment when Phoebe Jefferies sustained a serious injury that required medical attention.
Despite the disruption, the team showed remarkable resilience and composure, regrouping quickly to control the match across all four quarters.
Bell McIlwain was outstanding in defence, working seamlessly with Georgia McCulloch and Sophie Dudley to produce a string of turnovers and stifle Strathmerton’s attacking efforts.
In the shooting circle, Lainey Blake impressed with her movement and accuracy, while Britt Edwards returned to form, landing several long-range goals to extend Rovers’ lead.
It was a composed and determined team performance that highlighted the depth and spirit within the B-grade squad.

In a tightly contested clash against Strathy, the Rovers were unable to dictate the tempo early on.
Strathy’s disruptive style of play forced uncharacteristic errors across the court.
Despite the pressure, the Roos showed tenacity, collecting an impressive 32 intercepts throughout the game.
However, unforced errors - including footwork, passing mishaps, and shooting inaccuracy - kept Strathy within striking distance until the final quarter.
To their credit, the Rovers dug deep in the last term, playing with grit and determination to finally break away and secure a hard-earned victory.
In the defensive circle, Reagan Behsman and Catie Lewis were standout performers, providing strong rebounds, relentless pressure, and key intercepts.
Britt Kirby set the tone early with six intercepts in the opening stages, while Matilda Glowrey was instrumental in the final quarter, matching that with six crucial intercepts of her own.

After an even first quarter, the Rovers lifted their intensity and played a dynamic style of netball.
Every player contributed across the court, effectively implementing training drills - particularly clearing and re-offering strategies, which led to some beautiful passages of play.
Nicole Felmingham was outstanding, transitioning from defence to shooter in the final quarter and scoring 13 goals.
Millie Joice delivered a consistent performance throughout the game, contributing with sharp shooting, precise passing, and strong leads.
Mollie Leetham continues to secure her place in the WA position with accurate outlet passes, strong voice, and game control.
Special mention goes to Abby Whitehorn, who returned after a week off and made an immediate impact with four intercepts in the last quarter.

The match was a true display of grit, determination, and teamwork.
The girls dug deep in what was a physical game but stuck to their structures and played the style of netball we set out to achieve.
Isabell Macknight was relentless in wing defence, with her court awareness and ability to read the play standing out.
Sienna Elphick’s tireless work rate through the centre was unmatched, seamlessly transitioning from attack to defence throughout the game.
In the defensive ring, Ruby Pisasale was a standout in goalkeeper, consistently creating intercept opportunities and applying pressure.

Under-15s: Deni Rovers 37 def Strathmerton 22.
The girls took the intensity from Thursday night training into their game weekend, and came out firing.
Strathmerton proved to be a much more physical challenge than the under-15s have faced so far.
While it took the girls some time to adjust, their resilience and determination were ultimately rewarded.
Lilly Boyer and Ava Braybon were once again a strong and reliable presence in the goal ring, combining beautifully to lift the team.
Improved ball movement and shooting accuracy set us up for a well-deserved win.
Zoe Basset and Nina Glowrey were outstanding in defence.
Zoe dominated in the air, picking off countless feeds into the shooters, while Nina applied relentless pressure in wing defence, wearing down her opponent and forcing turnover after turnover.

The girls played a fantastic game, showcasing just how far they’ve come as a team.
Their strong communication and willingness to support one another on the court were clear from the first whistle.
The girls worked hard to create space, moved the ball with confidence, and maintained their structures under pressure.
A real highlight of the game was their ability to capitalise on intercepts, turning defensive pressure into scoring opportunities.
Every player contributed to the team's success, and their determination and teamwork ultimately led them to a well-deserved win.

This week we celebrated ‘Minis Week’, and had the pleasure of welcoming the Strathmerton team to join in the fun.
Despite the chilly morning, the girls didn’t let the cold slow them down.
They hit the court full of energy, showing off their growing skills and fantastic sportsmanship.
The coaches are incredibly proud of the girls' efforts and the improvement they continue to show each week.
