Shepparton Swans got the better of the Benalla Saints in round nine of the GVNL season.

The Saints were unable to get it going against seventh-placed Shepparton Swans, trailing by 15 goals at quarter-time.
Benalla managed to score double the amount of goals than it did in the first term with 13 but was unable to catch a rolling Swans who led by 19 at the half.
Benalla battled hard but was outclassed by a strong Shepparton Swans side.

The gap only widened between the two, with the Swans piling on 19 goals to the Saints’ 11, the 27-point disparity virtually unsalvageable heading into the final frame.
Unfortunately, things did not improve for the Saints who were defeated by 34 goals, 42-76.

Ella Sheehan and Chloe Elliott combined for 29 goals, and Natalie Pritchard chipped in with a handy 13 goals.
Benalla will have its best chance to get a win on the board when it faces 11th-placed Kyabram, who has also not won a game through nine rounds.
