The Suns, who compete in the Vic Country AFL Masters League, is available for players 35 years and older who still wish to play, but with modified rules, with only the commitment of playing once a fortnight.
The Suns would love to have to more people to come down to the club and join in the fun.
The Suns play teams across Country Victoria, including GV Giants, Murray Crays, Echuca Rams and The Kerang Rams.
It is about promoting fun, fitness, mateship and mental health, with a focus on having fun as the main priority.
There are a lot of people who would still love to be playing, but are unable to commit every week, or are not wanting to play at the higher level of football any more.
Masters is perfect for them.
“There are plenty of benefits to AFL Masters, it is welcoming to all skill levels and develops connections with teammates, which is important for so many people struggling with mental health,” club president Wes Stafford said.
The Suns are training Tuesday and Friday nights at the Benalla Gardens from 6pm onwards with everyone most welcome to attend.
