Shannons SpeedSeries on at Winton Raceway, June 9 to 11

Start your engines because Round 4 of the Shannons SpeedSeries is coming to Winton Motor Raceway from Friday, June 9 to Sunday, June 11.

As well as tickets being available to attend the event, races will be broadcast live on 9Gem on Saturday and on Stan Sport on Saturday and Sunday.

Though Winton may have missed out on the Supercars this year, the SpeedSeries will be the biggest weekend of V8s by number at Winton for nearly 30 years.

Attendees will be able to catch V8 Touring Cars, Touring Car Masters, Trans-Am, Sports Sedans and S-5000 series, the fastest and loudest cars in the southern hemisphere.

Star drivers competing in the events include James Moffat, Ben Grice, Lee Holdsworth, Tony D’Alberto, Jett Johnson and John Bowe.

All the V8 action is supported by the TRC Australian Series and Formula Ford.

Benalla Rural City Mayor Bernie Hearn visited the track on Friday, June 2 during testing, and she will be returning for a hot lap as part of the festivities this Friday.
