Middle school students at Australian Christian College Benalla welcomed a handful of special visitors on Tuesday, Febnruary 4, as four Richmond Football Club players dropped by for a meet and greet.
Tim Taranto, Jack Ross, Kane McAuliffe and Jasper Algar visited the school as part of the AFL Community Camp, which saw Richmond head to Wangaratta for two days and conduct a number of activities with local schools and hospitals.
The quartet fielded questions from students and provided an insight to what it is like running out onto a packed MCG, the rigours of pre-season training, and even game day nutrition.
The Tigers aren’t the only team to have travelled to the Goulburn Valley in the off-season, with North Melbourne having visited Shepparton on Monday, and Melbourne visited Mansfield, Bright, Benalla, Euroa and Violet Town on November 25-26 last year.
