The Tigers picked up the win over Benalla in the penultimate game of its season, breaking a five-match losing streak in the process.
The match was held at Rochester Recreation Reserve and Rochy quickly set about its work on its home court.
After the Saints sank the first couple of shots of the game, the Tigers managed to string together some runs and take the lead.
A four-goal quarter-time margin escalated to 11 by the main break, with Rochester in full control of the fixture.
The Tigers pushed the lead out to 15 at times in the third, but Benalla chipped a couple off that deficit to go into the final break 13 down.
Both teams had good periods in the last quarter, but Rochester’s earlier work was enough for it to score the win 57-43.
Tia Webb and Ava Nihill again shared the goal-scoring load, while Matisse Martin also had a brief stint up front.
Zali Hocking suited up in A-grade for the first time, slotting in at wing defence.
Rochester (5-12) will hope to finish its year on a high in the last round this weekend, but will be up against it as it takes on fourth-placed Tatura (11-1-5).
The Tigers have no scope to move on the table and will finish the season in ninth place.
The two sides will square off at Tatura Park on Saturday.
