Daughter of Hilda Annie and Ernest West Hughes (both deceased) and sister of Phillip Hughes (dec), Mary Hughes (dec), and Geoff Hughes.
Beloved and loving wife of Lionel Alexander Hoad (dec) for 65 years. Loved and loving mother and mother-in-law of Greg and Carole Hoad, Bruce and Wendy Hoad, Janice van de Velde, Carolyn and John Brown.
Devoted Nanny to Esther and Olivia; Matthew and Peta; Elise, Adelle and Emil. Adored ‘Old Grandma’ to Jack and Nate; Baxter, Anakin, Piper and Huxley; Sebastian; and Clara.
Gwenda was a kind and cheerful woman who lived to the wonderful age of 104. Gwenda thoroughly enjoyed life and was grateful for everything; she loved to chat and tell stories, and always enjoyed a cup of tea as long as it was hot! Now reunited with her adored husband, Lionel, who was the love of her life. Gwenda will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
