For more than 100 years Girl Guides Victoria has been providing opportunities for girls and women to learn as a community and it has no desire to let coronavirus stop it now.
Benalla Girl Guides are staying connected with Zoom meetings on a weekly basis and the girls have been working on their badges - the latest being Saluting their Service Anzac Day Challenge.
Benalla's Di McKenna is one of the local leaders and she said the girls had plenty to keep them busy.

“In the last few weeks the girls have been busy making Anzac biscuits, flags, paper aeroplanes and boats,” Ms McKenna said.
“They have been playing battleships with family and making Remembrance Lanterns, which they stood in their driveways Anzac morning.
“A wreath was also made and laid at the cenotaph Anzac morning along with an Anzac lantern.

“This year no-one could march to the cenotaph, so the girls have been showing their recognition for our defence forces through activities.”
Girl Guides Victoria is offering a year's free membership for new and existing guides.
