Hole in one

Hole in one

Benalla’s Lindy Wrest recently celebrating all golfers’ dream shot — a hole in one — and she’s gone and done it again.

On Saturday when Lindy hit off on the par 3 13th her three playing partners watched what they thought was a perfect shot.

Lindy thought she had overshot the target, only to approach the green and find it in the hole.

She has only been playing for six years, playing off a handicap of 26. The odds of an average golfer making a hole in one are 12000 to one.

Two in a few weeks is extraordinary. Congratulations Lindy.

Saturday had 53 players enter a Stableford event.

David Senior was the successful winner of A-Grade with a score of 39 points closely followed by James Dalton on 38 points.

B-Grade was even closer with Michael Polwarth scoring 38 points on countback to John Spencer also on 38 points.

C-Grade was taken out by Les Cairnes returning on 38 points. Coming in second was Bob Munroe 36 points on countback to Boyd Macarty.
