Mrs Broad said she hoped to set a good example for others wanting to become farmers.
“When I started, there were a number of people who encouraged me to continue with my dream of being a dairy farmer, so I want to do the same thing to give other young people the opportunity to stay in the industry,” she said.
“I want to help keep it a place where people want to be involved.”
Jersey Australia general manager Glen Barrett said the life membership accolade was “just recognition for an outstanding contribution to the breed”
“Lisa is an outstanding leader and contributor to Jersey Australia as a member, classifier, and through her service to the Board over the past 14 years,” Mr Barrett said.
Mrs Broad was re-elected as president at Jersey Australia’s annual general meeting on Friday, May 31.
