Ms Cooney, who descirbes herself as wedding planner, event manager and stylist, and her company Precision Event Management, has already seen success hosting events, such as Oktoberfest and the Benalla P-12 College Debutante Ball.
She is now looking to specialise in helping to organise one-of-a-kind weddings with the backdrop of the beautiful Benalla Rose Gardens.

"The Benalla Bowls Club backs onto the rose gardens and makes for a perfect reception venue, being able to accommodate all aspects of a wedding or event,” Ms Cooney said.
"I saw this opportunity when I realised Benalla has the most wonderful gardens, which (are) more beautiful when the roses are out in spring, which also happens to be wedding season.
"I took the opportunity and Benalla Bowls Club CEO Wendy Joseph had faith in my vision and said she would love to be a part of it.
"I was so happy when I finally approached local businesses to be part of this and I had most jumping at the opportunity.
"I thought to myself wow, this is going to be so special, I was almost in shock.

"I was speaking to Catherine at Benalla Rural City Council at that time and she gave me the idea to do a photo-shoot in the roses whilst they were still blooming.
"That was an amazing idea - and worked as a ‘pre-advertisement’ for the real deal, which starts in February.
"It was the perfect trial run, too, which I managed to organise in the space of one week.
"I had amazing businesses on board with me in that time frame - together we pulled off an amazing photo-shoot."
