The event was organised to coincide with the AFL's State of Origin clash, which was broadcast on the big screen and featured live music as well as some tin-rattling and raffles.
Club committee member John Ritchie said the evening kicked off with a live screening of Collingwood vs Melbourne in the AFLW.
“The idea for this was a committee decision and we just thought there's a lot of clubs like ours who were affected by the fires.

``So we decided to jump on board and help and push it from our region.
``There has been a lot of fundraising for individuals, but being a club ourselves we thought we'd try and support others like us.
``The event was well received by probably about 80 to 100 people and they loved watching the footy on the big screen.
“And I'd say everyone enjoyed the live music out on the oval.”

The night proved a success with more than $2000 raised.
“We had a gold coin donation for entry and we had raffles and a small auction of items that were donated to us from a gentleman in Euroa,” Mr Ritchie said.
“All the money raised will now be handed over to the Upper Murray Football and Netball League who will distribute it to clubs that need help.
“I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser, particularly to all who donated and attended.”
