Warrenbayne Fire Brigade welcomed a new captain at its AGM on June 22.
Captain Jim Dalton thanked outgoing captain, Alan Haslam, for his service over the past four years.
The meeting was also an opportunity for Commander Greg Brown and Group Officer Jim Renkin to hand out awards to members - whose combined experience represents 1280 years of volunteer service.
“A special mention was made to Bill Berger for 60 years and to Neil Buchan, John Harrison, Bill Hill and Max Fry for 50 years of service,” Mr Brown said.
“Our brigade is only as strong as our volunteers and the turnout for the night showed the dedication of service to our community.
“The brigade would like to acknowledge and thank the community for its support throughout the many aspects of its function as a CFA volunteer base, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“The Warrenbayne Fire Brigade looks forward to providing a strong and united volunteer fire service into the future.”
