“I didn’t get time to advertise this service, but I really appreciate the people who turned up,” Mr Hartland said.

“I think it’s important that we have these ceremonies to remember those who served in these conflicts, so they’re not forgotten.

“I think the service went really well, and I think it is important for young people to see that the freedoms we have were fought for.”
