Benalla seeks feedback to shape future festivals

Community members are being asked to share feedback on the 2026 Benalla street art festival through a short online survey.

The festival held from April 17 to 19 saw thousands swarm the streets to view the 15 new murals added to an already impressive collection of more than 95 existing artworks.

The 2026 program offered a range of pieces from live mural painting and guided tours to markets and exhibitions.

The survey aims to shape future festivals and ensure the event continues to grow in ways that reflect what locals and visitors value.

Mayor Bernie Hearn said community feedback was pivotal, as planning for the next street art festival begins.

“We’re proud of what the 2026 festival delivered, but we’re always looking to build on it,” Cr Hearn said.

“If you attended any part of the weekend, we’d really value your thoughts. Your feedback helps us understand what resonated, what surprised you and what you’d love to see more of in future years.”

A short online survey is now open for residents, visitors and anyone who attended the festival. Complete the survey at benalla.vic.gov.au/community/events-festivals/bsaf

The survey closes on Thursday, May 21.
