Applications close at midnight on Sunday, April 26.
The annual program provides financial support for projects that strengthen community connection, build local capacity and enhance the wellbeing of residents.
Rural City of Benalla Deputy Mayor Justin King said there was still time for groups to apply, but the deadline was fast approaching.
“We know there are many great ideas and community-driven projects out there, and these grants are designed to help bring them to life,” Cr King said.
“With applications closing soon, I encourage groups to take this opportunity.
“Even a modest grant can give a project the momentum it needs to make a real impact.”
Two grant categories are available:
- Major Community Grants of up to $7000; and
- Minor Community Grants of up to $3000.
Organisations may apply for both, but only one grant will be awarded per group.
Major grants can only be received once every three years.
“Our volunteers and community organisations do incredible work,” Cr King said.
“This program is one way council can recognise that effort and support initiatives that benefit our whole community.
