The proposed budget was endorsed for public exhibition at the council meeting on Wednesday, May 13.
Community members have until 6pm on Thursday, June 4 to provide feedback.
Councillors will be at the Benalla Lakeside Market on Saturday, May 23 to engage with the community on the proposed budget.
To help residents understand the budget and share their thoughts, council is also hosting a community Information session on Tuesday, May 26 from 5pm at the Benalla Civic Centre.
Benalla Mayor Bernie Hearn encouraged everyone to read the proposed budget and get involved.
“This is your chance to see exactly where your rates are going and what we have planned for the next 12 months,” Cr Hearn said.
“Take a look at the budget, come along to the information session, or have a chat with us at the market. It’s important we hear from you so we can make sure this budget works for everyone in our community.”
The proposed budget is available to view at haveyoursay.benalla.vic.gov.au
Hard copies can also be viewed at the Benalla Customer Service Centre and Benalla Library.
The final budget will be considered for adoption at the council meeting on Wednesday, June 24, following a review of all community submissions.
