The draft consists of the council’s plan to deliver a co-ordinated approach to climate and the environment, and support a more sustainable region over the next four years.
Council encourages feedback from the community for further participation before the strategy is finalised and adopted.
Mayor Bernie Hearn is encouraging community members to take part in the consultation.
“This strategy is about looking after the place we all call home, our air, our water, our bush and our future,” Cr Hearn said.
“You don’t need to be an expert to have your say. If you live here, work here, or visit here, your view counts. Visit the website, read the draft, and tell us what matters to you.”
Submissions close at 5pm on Wednesday, July 22.
