Educators are encouraged to register their school or centre and bring children together for a day of small, thoughtful actions that make others smile.
Participating schools and centres will receive a personalised World Kindness Day activity page, with plenty of opportunities for children to get creative, have fun and explore what kindness means.
Schools and centres can also submit photographs of their celebrations for the chance to be featured in the The News, helping share positive stories throughout the community. There will also be prizes to be won.
From making a card for someone special to inviting a new friend to play, helping a classmate or thanking an educator, the celebration encourages children to discover how much difference a simple act can make.
The initiative coincides with the World Kindness Day launch of Love, Harvey, introducing Harvey and his friends Milo, Evie, Trixie and Frankie to local children and families.
Designed for children of all ages, the series brings kindness to life through playful stories and a simple message: small actions can make the world a little brighter.
Schools, kindergartens and daycare centres are encouraged to register their interest now. A member of The News team will be in touch with further information about participating.
