Moama crews join river search

“Our crew resumed the search this morning and will continue assisting across the day until instructed otherwise by NSW Police Marine Area Command,” Marine Rescue NSW Inspector Glenn Sullivan said.

After a briefing at Tocumwal Police Station on Saturday, crews spent several hours searching the river aboard Moama 20 at the request of NSW Police. A second vessel, Moama 21, was brought in to support search efforts on Sunday.

He said Moama 21 provided a larger platform for police operations on the river.

Patrick Evans, 39, was last seen at Pebbly Beach campground on the Victorian side of the Murray River about 10.30am on Friday. It is believed he set out fishing in a small boat around noon.

Mr Evans is described as Caucasian, about 175cm tall and of thin build, with a brown moustache and beard and medium-length brown-blond hair.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
