Moustaches, gelato and bocce for Italian day

Students at Sacred Heart Primary School donned their curliest moustaches, soccer guernseys and Italian colours for a day celebrating traditions of Italian culture.

On Friday, October 16 staff and students at the Tatura school participated in a range of Italian-themed activities, from playing bocce and eating gelato to learning about pasta and the leaning tower of Pisa.

The day began with a parade, filled with laughs and Italian tunes, followed by the junior school, middle school and senior school all doing their own dances.

To round out the festivities, a whole school assembly was held to showcase what the students had learnt about Italian culture.
