Nationals promise $100k for flood-damaged Scout hall

The funding would support floor replacement, bathroom upgrades, increased storage and other internal repairs.

The funding is part of a wider $16 million package for upgrading Scout halls across Victoria to provide young Victorians with safe, modern places to learn, lead and connect.

State Member for Northern Victoria Wendy Lovell said she came from a Scouting family.

“I know the impact of what the movement can do for our kids,” Ms Lovell said.

Nationals candidate for Shepparton Shane Sali said the funding “will help repair an important facility for our Scouts”.

Scouts Victoria northern west district commissioner Kelly Rummery welcomed the announcement.

“We’re grateful for the commitment and what it’s going to mean for our Scouts, families and volunteers,” she said.
