Seymour Toy Library team leader Michael Easton said the event went “really well”, with the community coming together.
“The rain stayed away and the people came out, we had 150-plus people turn up, which is quite amazing,” he said.
“Lots of people were very interested in finding out about what a toy library is, so it was a day of information and letting people know about it all.
“The entertainer was fantastic with engaging people and creating a great atmosphere, the Lions sold out of their sausages and the coffee van was almost out of milk.
“So a great day was had.”

Visitors also enjoyed a jumping castle, petting zoo and live music amid the family-friendly atmosphere.
Mr Easton said many attendees commented on what a “fantastic idea” the toy library was and how they wished it had been available in Seymour sooner.
The library is now officially open every Wednesday from 10am to 2pm, as well as on the second Saturday of each month at Seymour Uniting Church.
Hot drinks are available for visitors, and there is a wide range of toys for children aged 0 to 6, including wooden puzzles, building blocks, bikes and more.
